Dear Jeff, We just wanted you to known how very pleased we are to have the barn water tight again and the thatch looking so smart. Lots of people have remarked on it already. We really appreciate the fact that you were prepared to tackle such a major repair job and not insist that the barn required a full re-thatch, which we really couldn't have afforded, though we were well aware that it had almost reached that stage. I m sure you found it a frustrating job to do and can t have felt anything like the sort of satisfaction you must normally experience when standing back to survey a completed re-thatching job that has all been your own work - as opposed to patching up someone else's inferior job!
